Dr Jim Retallack PhD, PEng – President and CEO
Dr Retallack has over three decades of experience in technology driven business and has achieved significant success in commercialization activities.
Following twelve years with Nortel in positions progressing from product research and development through to general management, Dr. Retallack established Acadia Management Group Pty Ltd. in Sydney, Australia in 1992. Results were significant: the first overseas sales of software originally developed for an Australian telephone operating company and the first sales by a large US based software developer in the Australian telecommunications market.
Returning to Kings County Nova Scotia in 2000, Dr Retallack continued commercialization activities, commencing work on energy generation and management in 2005.
Christian Muise – Electrical Engineering Co-op Student
Christian is an electrical engineering student specializing in computer engineering at Dalhousie University and an applied science graduate of Acadia University. While pulling from experience in the renewables and energy efficiency industries, he is a key contributor to the logistical deployment of the Berwick Direct Load Control program. Moreover, Christian acts as a lead researcher and tester in back-end efficiency measures and product performance.
Jawad Khan - Solution Lead (EIT)
Jawad started with AMG in January 2014 as a co-op student and has been an essential part of the company since. Having completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Jawad brings core skills of hardware design and programming to add value to the business. Engineers Nova Scotia awarded Jawad’s team Best Senior Project in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Dalhousie University for 2017.
After successfully implementing a prototype for Direct Load Control in Berwick, Jawad is now working on developing MARC-II and Direct Load Control projects. He works tirelessly to ensure the quality of design and robustness of system architecture that provide innovative solutions to our clients.
Lindsay MacDonald - Website Development & Design
Lindsay is a recent graduate of Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in biology who has previously completed two summer terms with AMG Energy. She has worked on Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program implementation and other energy projects as an Energy Analyst.
Lindsay is currently engaging in website development and design projects and the promotion of energy efficiency programs through social media and public outreach.
